Who Are We?
Happy Queer is a new, alternative kind of queer clothing brand, one that exist beyond the rainbow.
Run by queer people, for queer people, our mission is to empower you to be proud of who you are, however you identify, by providing out and proud queer designs.
Queer beyond the rainbow
Happy Queer was born out of a frustration of wanting authentic queer clothing, with thoughtful designs that reflect our culture and history. Too often we found queer clothing focused on a more camp aesthetic, covered head to toe in rainbows. Don’t get us wrong, we love a rainbow and the progressive pride flags as much as the next queer person, but we want more options when it comes to queer clothing.
Focusing on queer icons, moments and places of cultural importance, Happy Queer reclaims terms like “Lesbian”, “Fag” or “Queer”, showcasing them proudly and saying ‘so what?’, whilst still fighting for equality for all and supporting marginalised queer people. Pride was a riot and we will continue that fight until everyone is free to exist happily in themselves.
